Skaters may sign up for practice sessions at the rink upon arrival or email the practice ice chair at sk8practice@yahoo.com to book sessions.

Groups for Qualifying Rounds - We will not be posting of the groups of skaters for the levels in which there are several groups for qualifying rounds. The groups will be posted at the rink on the first day of practice, Monday, October 24. If you need to know the group you are in so you can make travel plans, please email the competition chair at sk8sunL@aol.com. ( No one will receive a list of all the skaters in a group, so please do not request it.)

Medical Registry - Please read this important announcement from US Figure Skating. This form is required for all skaters competing at regionals.

Music - Top quality music equipment will be used to play all practices and competition events. Music can be on CD (preferred) or cassette tape. All music must be in some sort of case when turned in. If CDs do not have jewel cases or sleeves, protective sleeves will be available for sale for a modest fee.

Announcing of Skaters' Names - We will strive to pronounce every skater's name correctly during competition events. We are compiling a list of skaters' names with phonetic pronounciations. If you have a difficult to pronounce name, please email us at tampabaysc@hotmail.com and give us the phonetic way your name is pronounced. Also provide any clues that will help (example: sounds like or rhymes with, which syllable the emphasis is on, etc). Forms will also be available at registration for this purpose.

Admission/Tickets - Anyone wishing to enter the rink during qualifying events must be credentialed or purchase a ticket. Both daily admission and all-event passes will be available for sale at the door. Cost: Daily Admission - $6; All-Event Pass - $20.

Parking - Parking is very limited immediately around our rink. Additional parking is available the Wal-Mart parking lot next door (section closest to the rink /Forest Lakes Rd entrance) and across the street at the strip mall. . (If you park across the street, use extreme care while crossing Forest Lakes Blvd.) Suggestion: Drop skaters, younger children or items you may be bringing at the front entrance of the rink and then promptly move your car to one of these parking areas. Please honor the reserved parking spaces for our officials.

Coaches - Coaches who plan to coach at regionals must logon to the US Figure Skating web site, click on "members only" and logon with with your membership number and password and enter your PSA number and PSA expiration date. If you don't have a password already, you must contact US Figure Skating to obtain one. You will not be able to obtain a coach's credential if you do not register with headquarters.

Volunteers Needed - Attending South Atlantics as a parent, chaperone or spectator? If you can spare some time during the competition, volunteer opportunities are available.

Gift Basket Raffle - A fall/Halloween basket & a Florida themed basket will be raffled off during the qualifing events Oct 25-29. Check them out during the competition. They are chockful of interesting goodies.
